From tales to trust: Africa’s story takes the stage in Lagos
Press Release
In the land where the drum speaks before the mouth opens, a new rhythm is rising, calling storytellers, thinkers, insurers, filmmakers, and visionaries to gather – not merely to speak, but to shape destiny.
The Africa Bancassurance Storytellers Forum (ABSF) Conference and Film Showcase will hold on the 23rd of May 2026, in the vibrant heart of Lagos, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM WAT, at the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel Ikeja, Lagos Nigeria.
They say, “Until the lion learns to write, every story will glorify the hunter.”
This gathering is Africa’s bold response, where the lion now holds the pen, commands the lens, and owns the narrative.
At the heart of this year’s gathering lies a powerful theme:
“From Tales to Trust: Reimagining Africa’s Insurance Story.”
Like the ancient griots who preserved kingdoms through memory and melody, ABSF is reawakening the soul of financial services through storytelling; because a story well told today becomes a legacy well lived tomorrow.
This year’s conference will be graced by an esteemed lineup of dignitaries and industry leaders whose footprints continue to shape Africa’s financial landscape:

“One broomstick breaks easily, but a bundle is unbreakable.”
This conference is that bundle—uniting finance and folklore, policy and people, data and dignity.
This is more than attendance – it is participation in a narrative shift.
It is where Africa stops being a footnote in global financial stories and becomes the headline.
Attendance is strictly by confirmed registration only, as the gathering remains intentionally curated to preserve its depth, quality, and experience.

In the end, the proverb reminds us:
“When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.” ABSF is deepening the roots – of trust, of story, of Africa’s financial future – this where stories become trust, and trust becomes legacy.
